ABOUT ME

Erika joined the global communications consultancy Porter Novelli in 2018, bringing a diverse background in communications, earned media and public affairs, At PN, she is focused on strategic media relations, executive visibility, thought leadership and issues management. She has expertise in financial inclusion, healthcare access, climate and gender equity.

Erika’s client work includes proactive media relations and reputation management, CEO visibility programs and thought leadership events, as well as overseeing corporate brand influencer programs. She has acted as hub lead for global media relations campaigns across seven markets, supported key thought leadership activities for clients at Women Deliver, Climate Week NYC and CES, and led a successful SXSW panel activation on health and social impact issues.

Prior to Porter Novelli, Erika worked on a specialty media practice at Ogilvy, where she supported top-tier media relations and executive visibility for clients spanning tech, healthcare, finance, education, and tourism verticals. She gained previous agency experience at KWT Global. Erika began her career in public service at The White House as Press Office Intern for the former First Lady Michelle Obama.

A native Texan, Erika earned a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin. While at UT, she pursued concentrations from the Texas Media Sequence and McCombs Business Foundations programs. Through her Texas Media experience, her team became the first-ever winner of the Google Global Social Media Award in a global digital marketing competition.​ Additionally, Erika interned at the full-service agency GSD&M and helped launch the premier entertainment venue, ACL Live, during its opening season. She studied abroad in Hong Kong, and served as an Executive Officer of Zeta Tau Alpha - Kappa Chapter.

 

Erika is an aesthete and creative at heart, city explorer, and patron of the arts. Outside of work, she enjoys travel, fashion, interior design, culture and contemporary art.
